Description

George Cottage is a mid-19th century remodelling of a 17th century cottage located on the west side of The Square, in George Alley. The building stands two and a half storeys tall and is constructed of rubble with a plain grey tile roof. It features a stunted chimney and one window with casements, as well as half-dormers in the attic. On the ground floor, there is a square bracketed oriel shop window with glazing bars, and a half-glazed door to the left. The cottage is included for its group value.
