Description
The Queen's Head Inn Public House is a late 17th century to early 18th century building located on the west side of The Square. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features a first floor cill band. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has two windows that contain modern small paned casements, primarily in original openings with drip moulds above. There is a plain off-centre doorway with a wooden bressummer. The roof is steeply pitched with stone verges, a gabled dormer, and end stacks. At the rear, there is a long 2½ storey extension. In the centre of the first floor, there is a three-light stone mullion window. The interior has been altered, but a post at the rear entrance may suggest that a timber frame is incorporated.
