Description

This is a mid-17th century house located on the south side of Coxwell Street in Cirencester. Originally known as numbers 7 and 21, the building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a Welsh slate roof, featuring a 20th-century brick stack on the left end. The house follows a through-passage plan and presents two gables to the front. It extends to two storeys and has an attic. The front elevation has a three-window range. The first floor has three three-light stone mullion windows with 20th-century leaded casements. The gables contain two similar two-light stone mullion windows, each with a hood mould. The ground floor features two 20th-century four-light stone mullion windows with a central doorway opening into a passage that leads to the rear of the property. Continuous strings form hood moulds above the ground and first-floor openings. Number 7 has a 19th-century wing at the rear. The interiors were not inspected.
