Description
The gazebo at Rivermead is a small square structure located in the northwest corner of the garden of Rivermead. It is built into the garden walls and constructed from coursed rubble stone. The gazebo features a pyramidal stone slate roof with a small brick stack in the southwest corner and a stone ball finial that has the remains of a weathervane.
On the east and south sides, there are nine-pane sash windows with timber lintels. Below the window on the south side, there is a wide brick arched entrance leading to a lower room, which has a plank door and a small four-pane fixed light to the left. On the west side, there are seven stone steps leading up to a half-glazed door that has two lower flush panels.
