Description
Arlington House, located at 1 Arlington Terrace, is an early to mid-19th century villa that faces Chapel Lane. The building is two storeys high and constructed of ashlar stone. It features wide eaves supported by brackets and has a reeded soffit. The hipped slate roof has grouped chimneys located at the north-west and south-west corners, with an octagonal chimney positioned on the wall face to the left of the center. There is a band above the ground floor, and the façade includes three sets of two windows, each with keystones and glazing bar sashes. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with an overlight and fluted panels on the reveals. The name of the property is displayed on the band. The lower extension, known as No 1 Arlington Terrace, has seven bays and similar windows, along with a four-panel door located to the left.
