Description
The Eight Bells Inn is a 17th-century building constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a Cotswold stone roof and a corniced ashlar chimney. It has one large gable and two smaller gables, and is one and a half storeys tall. The inn includes three windows, with mullioned windows on the right-hand gable and 20th-century casements on the left gables. On the ground floor, there are three bay windows; the two on the left are of the glazing bar type, while the right-hand bay window is designed in the Cotswold style, featuring a 1-3-1 light arrangement with a drip. There is an alleyway passage leading to a rear courtyard, which has a long extension to the north interior, where a large inglenook fireplace is located near the stone bay window.
