GV II Shop with flats over. Late C18 to left, early/mid C19 to right. To right, limestone ashlar; concrete tile roof; reconstituted stone left- and right-end stacks; to left, lined-out stucco to front; concrete tile roof; brick right-end stack.

To right, three storey four window range; first floor has four C19 2/2-pane horned sashes in plain reveals with stone cills; second floor has four similar windows. Ground floor has early C20 shopfront with twelve-pane window with louvred panels above, stall riser with three cast-iron grilles, brass plate to centre with lettering SMITH; four-panel door to left with single-pane overlight with painted glass with lettering SMITHS 6; pair of plank doors to right with iron bar grille panels; shopfront surround has four panelled and reeded pilaster strips, heavy console brackets flanking frieze with blind box and moulded cornice.

Building to left is three storey three window range; first floor has three two-light timber glazing bar casements in plain reveals, to left with projecting cill, two windows to right shortened to accommodate shopfront below; three similar windows to second floor. Ground floor has 8/8-pane sash in similar reveal and four4-panel door with single-pane overlight to left, to right shopfront in similar surround to right has plate glass window to left with round-section timber mullions with shaped bases and tops with brackets, ventilation grille over; half-glazed door with wrought-iron grille over glass, cast-iron grille overlight; tiled stall riser and reveal to door have lettered panels PORK BUTCHERS and PICKLED TONGUES and painted tile panel with pigs head, Art Nouveau tiles in panels of pilasters.

Entrance to through-passage to left of shopfront has panels of Art Nouveau ironwork at head of opening, simple wrought-iron gate, panel over with etched lettering behind glass HOME MADE SAUSAGES; similar panels in friezes of both shopfronts have lettering JESSE SMITH & CO FAMILY BUTCHERS ESTABLISHED 1808.
