Description
Windy Cottage, Inglenook, and Aston Chace, built around 1700, form a picturesque row of Cotswold cottages. They are constructed from coursed rubble and topped with a modern tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys high, with Nos 14 and 15 altered to create a pair featuring central modern doors with integral fanlights and one window each, consisting of 3-light mullioned casements with drips on the ground floor. To the right, No 16 has a lower two-window extension and was originally a single storey. This section, dating from the early 18th century, features a central Tudor arch doorway and later casement windows.
Inside Inglenook, there is a chamfered spine beam and joists with steps, along with a large inglenook fireplace. The inglenook also includes an arched gable light in the attic at the rear.
