Description
Bank Farmhouse is a picturesque farmhouse composed of two parts. The left-hand section dates from the 17th century and features two storeys and an attic, constructed from coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. It has a coped verge on the left and ashlar chimneys with moulded capping. This part includes two gabled dormers and two ground floor windows, which are 2 and 3-light mullioned casements with drips. There is also a small gable light in the attic on the south side.
The right-hand section is an early 18th-century extension designed in a more refined style. It has a chamfered plinth and is made of squared rubble with a tiled roof. This part contains three windows, which now feature 19th-century sashes but retain their original moulded architraves, dropped keystones, and bulbous cills. The central doorway has been altered to accommodate two windows, with the left-hand window now serving as an entrance that includes a cast-iron canopied porch. Additionally, there are cross mullioned windows at the rear of the farmhouse.
