Description

A group of six monuments is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, up to 3 metres south of the chancel. These monuments date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of limestone.

The group includes a pair of headstones immediately south of the chancel, both featuring similar designs. Each headstone has partially legible inscriptions within cartouche-like surrounds. The left-hand headstone displays a single winged cherub's head at the top, while the right-hand headstone has two winged cherubs' heads above it.

Additionally, there is a row of four headstones set back to the right of the pair. These headstones also share a similar design, each with partially legible inscription plaques framed by cartouche-like surrounds, topped with single winged cherubs' heads. The two central headstones in this row feature circular inscription plaques and floral surrounds in bold relief.
