Description
This open-fronted outbuilding, located at Shipton Sollars Farm approximately 300 meters north of Shipton Sollars Manor, dates back to 1796 as indicated by a stone plaque on the facade. The building is constructed from random limestone with squared and dressed quoins and features a concrete tile roof. It is 1½ storeys high and consists of three open-fronted bays that are separated by finely dressed square stone piers, which are splayed out at the top. Above these piers is a continuous wooden lintel, followed by a band of finely dressed stone and a string course. There were formerly steps leading up to a plank door in the left-hand wall that provided access to a loft, but these steps have since been removed. The building has a hipped roof, and the interior has not been inspected.
