Description
Drew and two unidentified monuments are located about 6 to 12 metres south of the southeast end of the aisle in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. There are three chest tombs arranged from north to south.
The first tomb is unidentified and likely dates from the late 17th century. It is made of limestone and features a flat top, a moulded plinth and capping, with plain slab ends and sides. There is an incised inscription on the south side, and a large piece is missing from the top on the north side.
The second tomb is also unidentified and dates from the mid-18th century. This tomb is made of limestone as well, with a flat top, moulded plinth and capping. It has slightly indented ends with carved returns and plain fielded rectangular side and end panels.
The third tomb is dedicated to William Drew and dates from 1791. It is made of sandstone and has a flat top, moulded plinth and capping. This tomb features quarter baluster corners, fielded end panels with arched tops, and recessed rectangular side panels.
