Description

The King/Radaway Monument is a chest tomb located about 4 meters southeast of the south porch in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Rood in Ampney Crucis. It commemorates Thomas King, who died in 1782, and Martha Radaway, who died in 1774. The tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded plinth and capping on the base. The sides have large central recessed panels with plain side strips, and the ends are slightly fielded.
