Description
South Farm is a farmhouse built in the mid-19th century and 20th century, with a datestone dated 1796 located between the upper storey windows, which is likely a reused feature. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and stone stacks. It has a rectangular main body with a slightly later range added to the left, which may incorporate an earlier structure. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear right of the main body.
The facade is three storeys high and has four bays. The upper floor is illuminated by two 2-light windows in gables that project above the eaves level. All windows are 20th-century steel casements with leaded panes, featuring almost flat segmental heads with keystones on the ground and first floor windows. There are bands between the ground and first floors, and a part-glazed central door from the 20th century. The gable ends have flat coping and gable end stacks with moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
