Description

Old Bell Cottage is an early 18th-century remodelling of an earlier house, built on the site of the former Coneygree Mansion of the Waldegrave family. The construction is of coursed and squared rubble, with a Cotswold stone roof, a coped verge to the right, and an ashlar chimney. The building has two gabled dormers. There are two windows on each floor, with one window on each floor retaining mullions, while the others have been altered to wood. A recessed central doorway is present. Two projecting wings extend to the rear, with a saddlestone to the north-east. A central hipped stair turret features mullion windows.
