Description

The Raven Monument is a chest tomb located about 24 meters northeast of the north vestry in the churchyard of the Church of St. Lawrence. It commemorates John Raven, who died in 1823. The tomb is made of limestone and features a moulded plinth and capping on its base, with a flat top that has a tent cap. The corners are quarter baluster, and the ends and sides are plain with incised designs and quadrant corners that include fan mouldings. At the time of the survey in March 1985, the monument was leaning to the north.
