Description

The Lodge is a building located beside a railway line, dating from the mid to late 19th century and designed in the style of the Batsford Estate. It stands on the site of agricultural buildings that were marked on an 1843 map. The structure is one storey with an attic, constructed from golden squared and dressed rubble, and features a Cotswold stone roof with coped verges, moulded eaves, and footstones. The windows are mullioned and include drips above them. The building has a T-plan layout with a roughly central chimney. The south front has a door and a narrow casement window, both with drips above. The west front features a gable on the right side, which includes a 2-light attic window and a 3-light window on the ground floor, along with one window in an extension to the left.
