Description

Mill Cottage is a mid-19th century cottage constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and a large modern ashlar chimney. The cottage has a gable end facing south and is one storey with an attic. It features segment-gridded openings, a central ledged door with a gabled porch supported by posts, flanking windows, and one window above, all of which are casements. There are three gabled dormers on the west return elevation and a thin timber rail below the eaves on the east side. The cottage is included for its group value and is attractively situated on a bend of the mill stream, contributing to a well-known view.
