Description

Holmoak appears to date from circa 1700. It is constructed of squared rubble in courses of varying thickness. The roof is Cotswold stone, with dormer gables. The building is two storeys high with attics, and has two windows. These are stone mullioned windows with drip moulds and modern leaded casements, comprising 2-, 3- and 4-light openings. To the left is a 20th-century two-storey stone bay window which is in keeping with the original style. A large central chimney supports a pair of stacks with a cornice. The outer doorways are chamfered, and the right-hand doorway has a studded oak door. A small, restored lancet window is located to the right of the bay window, and may have originally served as a fireplace light.
