Description

The barn at Aston Hale, dated 1881, is a well-designed farmyard structure, possibly created by Sir Ernest George for the Batsford Estate. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed from coursed and squared rubble in varying thicknesses. The roof is tiled and features coped verges. On the ground floor, there are four elliptical-headed arches that are flanked by diagonal buttresses. Additionally, there is a pigeon-loft located in the east gable end.
