Description
Home Farm is a detached house dating from the mid-to-late 17th century, situated 20 metres north-east of Icomb Lodge. The house is built of limestone rubble with stone slate roofing at the front and concrete tiles at the rear. It has ashlar stacks and a rectangular plan. A 20th-century garage is located at the left gable end, and a 20th-century lean-to extension is present at the rear, neither of which are of particular architectural interest. The house has one-and-a-half storeys. The front elevation has three Cotswold eaves dormers, each with a 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window to the first floor. Three 3-light stone-mullioned casements are on the ground floor, one with ovolo-moulded mullions. All ground floor casements have stopped hoods. An off-centre plank door is set within a 20th-century gabled stone porch on the left side. A blocked window featuring two lancet-headed lights cut from a single stone block is visible, along with two 2-light 20th-century dormers at the rear. Single gable-end and axial stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. This building demonstrates group value.
