Description

The Green Dragons and Mullion House are a 17th-century building on the north-west side of High Street. Constructed of coursed rubble, the building has a tiled roof and extends to two storeys and an attic, with four window bays. The windows are stone mullion casements, with three and four lights, and include two five-light and one six-light windows with a transom and mullion. Drip moulds are present on the ground floor windows within the gable. Side lights are visible in the attic gables. Paired sash windows with glazing bars are located to the right of the gable. Two doorways feature four-centred arches, now with modern plank doors that attempt to replicate the original style. The building is finished with paired ashlar stacks at either end. Much of the building's detail has been restored. A sundial dated 1647 is set into the gable.
