Description
Berrington Mill is a late 17th-century building that was remodeled in the early to mid-19th century. It features a battered, likely medieval plinth at the rear, which supports the retaining bank of the mill pool. The front of the mill has a two-storey central section with two ranges of segment-headed windows. To the south is the wheel house, which dates from the 17th century but has had its eaves raised in the 19th century, with 20th-century windows added to the east gable. The south wall of the wheel house still shows marks from the wheel. Notable features from around 1700 include a mullion window and a cambered and stop-chamfered fireplace lintel. Berrington Mill is one of Chipping Campden's Domesday Mill sites, making it historically significant.
