Description

The Hamlett tomb chest, dating from around 1776 to 1799, is located adjacent to the vestry door of the Church of St Mary in Charlton Kings. This tomb chest is made of ashlar stone and features an altar-type design with convex long sides. It includes reeded end pilasters, a fluted frieze adorned with rosettes, and a carved vase on the west side. This tomb is dedicated to the Hamlett family.
