Description
The farm buildings located on the west, north, and east sides of the farmyard to the north of Coryton Barton date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble and feature corrugated asbestos roofs that are gabled at the ends.
The west range includes eight stables with a loft above. The stable entrances are round-headed and have stone voussoirs forming the arches, although some of these entrances have been blocked. There is a single loft entrance to the first floor. The adjoining right-angled range has a higher roofline and includes one loft entrance with a canopy supported by brackets, along with an external stair leading to the west part of the range.
The north range also features stable entrances and has two larger openings that were added in the 20th century. It includes two loft entrances, one of which is under a canopy supported by brackets. The roofline at the east end of this range is lower. The east range has an external stone stair leading to its loft entrance and includes pigeon holes. The interior of the buildings has not been inspected.
