Description
This is a row of four headstones located about 8 meters north of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist. They date from the early to late 18th century and are made of slate. Each headstone features a shaped scrolly head. The northernmost headstone commemorates Richard Braddon, who died in 1783. The next one to the south commemorates Mary Braddon, who was buried in 1752. The following headstone commemorates Elizabeth Braddon, buried in 1759, and it has stylized flowers and foliage carved in the head. The southernmost headstone is unusually wide and commemorates John Braddon, who was buried in 1740, also featuring stylized flowers and foliage carved in the head.
