Description

This is a chest tomb located about 5 meters southeast of the porch of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the late 17th century and is made of granite, featuring a rectangular shape. The tomb commemorates Jane Wood of Orchard, who was buried in 1691. It has a slate lid with recessed side panels. The lid is adorned with a well-crafted coat of arms carved in relief and an inscription in elaborate lettering along the border.
