Description

Barclays Bank is a corner building dating from around 1869, designed in the Italianate style. It has three storeys and is finished in stucco, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building features an elaborate bracket eaves cornice. There are eight sash windows in total, including one that is blank. The four windows on the second floor are adorned with eared architraves, while the round-headed windows on the first floor have cornices and console brackets. The ground floor is highlighted by a cornice and Ionic pilasters.
