Description
The K6 telephone kiosk is a standard design made of cast iron and painted red. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with gold-painted crowns on the top panels that are applied rather than perforated. There are rectangular white display signs reading "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow-curved roof. The kiosk has modernised internal equipment. Most of the glass panes are intact, although a few panes on the northwest elevation appear to be frosted replacements.
Located in the center of Milton Combe, the kiosk is positioned next to a bridge that crosses Milton Brook. It is visible from several listed buildings, including the Church of the Holy Spirit, which is 10 meters to the southwest, and Gladisford Cottage, located 25 meters to the northwest. The kiosk is also situated 10 meters northwest from the bridge, which is also listed. This telephone kiosk has a strong visual connection with these three listed buildings.
