Description
The stable block to the north west of Hayne is an early 19th-century structure that has been partly converted for residential use. It is built from stone rubble with some brick detailing and features slate roofs. The building is designed in an Italianate style, forming a U-shape, and includes a prominent Gothic-style clock turret on the south west side of the central block.
The central block has five bays and a three-bay colonnade facing the courtyard, which is adorned with four-centred brick arches that have keystones, supported by granite columns with moulded capitals and bases. Flanking the colonnade are segmental arched openings with brick arches. Each of the left and right-hand blocks also features a three-bay colonnade with similar four-centred brick arches, supported by one granite column and one stone rubble pier. The clock turret is topped with a battlemented parapet and has splayed corners. The interior has not been inspected.
