Description
Cross House is a pair of cottages from the 18th century, possibly with earlier origins. The cottages have rendered cob walls and a gable-ended thatch roof, with three brick stacks: one at the right gable end and two along the ridge. The building has a two-storey structure with an attic and features an asymmetrical six-window front, which includes early to mid-20th century casements with two, three, and four lights, some of which are small-paned. There is a 19th-century four-panel door towards the right end and an 18th-century fielded six-panel door towards the left end, both sheltered by a slate doorhood. The interior was inaccessible during the survey but may contain 18th-century joinery and possibly earlier features.
