GV II

Entrance screen, gateways and flanking railings. Circa 1810-20. Rendered. Wrought- iron gates and railings. Central distyle in antis Ionic screen with full entablature and triangular pediment. Short flanking walls stepped down to flanking gateways, consisting of square piers with recessed corners and with wrought-iron gates. Short sections of flanking curved wrought-iron railings. This screen forms an unusual entrance, leading to Ebberly House (q.v.), also of c.1810-20. Sources: Country Life, Vol. CXXiii, p. 827.
