Description

Lower Culleigh Farm barn, located approximately 20 meters southeast of the farmhouse, is an 18th-century structure. It is built of cob on a stone plinth and features a half-hipped roof covered with asbestos sheets. The barn has a six-bay plan with a central threshing floor. The mid to late 19th-century double doors made of planks are situated at the center. Inside, the barn has a six-bay A-frame roof supported by 18th-century purlins and split oak common rafters. Each truss includes a pegged collar and a ridge purlin set in a crossed apex.
