Description
This headstone, located about 6 metres east of the southeast corner of the Church of St Andrew, is likely from the late 18th century. It is made of slate and features a nowy-headed design. The headstone is inscribed with a verse but does not include a date or name. The style of the inscription is characteristic of the late 18th century and includes an hourglass carved at the top. This tradition of using stones with verses that lack both date and name can also be found at St Giles in the Wood, which is the neighboring parish.
