Description
The churchyard wall and lych-gate to the Church of All Hallows are notable features in Woolfardisworthy. The wall, which has 17th-century coping, may have medieval origins and shows signs of some 19th-century rebuilding. It is constructed from local stone rubble and topped with a pointed rubble capping. The wall runs approximately 85 meters along the front of the churchyard, bordering the roadside. The lych-gate, built in the 19th century, is also made of rubble and has a slate roof with gabled ends. It features a large wooden gate from the 19th century, designed with an ornamental diaper pattern, and is fitted with iron strap hinges and an iron latch.
