Description

A range of farm buildings dating to around 1850, likely built at the same time as Luffincott Barton. They were constructed for the Tetcott Estate. The buildings are of stone rubble construction with a slate roof, gabled at the ends. They form an L-shaped range; the threshing barn faces north and has entrances on opposite sides. A two-story block adjoins the barn at a right angle. The threshing barn has a full-height doorway on the north side, with a sloping slate roof supported by granite corbels on stone cheeks. The gable end of the two-story block has a doorway to the left, a window to the right, and a loft entrance above. These buildings are a good example of an estate farm building and contribute to an attractive group with Luffincott Barton and Luffincott Church.
