Description
Morice Terrace is a row of three houses, originally six, founded in 1674 by Sir William Morice, who was Secretary of State to Charles II. The terrace was restored in 1986 and features rubble walls and a gable-ended slate roof. There are four late 20th-century brick stacks, with two axial and two located at the gable ends. The building is two storeys high and has a long, regular front with six windows. The doors are centrally located, with additional doors to the left and right. The original plan appears to have been for six one-room houses, but this was changed to three two-room houses during the restoration. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to have undergone significant alterations during the restoration. This terrace is part of a group with the nearby church, as it directly adjoins the churchyard.
