Description

The Rectory is a mid-19th century building. It is likely constructed of rendered stone walls with a hipped slate roof, featuring overhanging eaves and rendered brick stacks at both ends. The building has a double-depth plan, arranged with two rooms wide and a central stairhall. The front of the house, overlooking the garden, contains the principal rooms, while service rooms are located on the opposite side.

The garden front is symmetrical, displaying three original twelve-pane sash windows on the first floor and matching contemporary two-light casement windows below. A likely original verandah, supported by wooden columns, runs along the front of the house. The rear entrance side has three original sixteen-pane windows on the first floor, with a fixed stairlight in the centre. Below are a twelve-pane sash to the left and a thirty-pane sash to the right, alongside a 19th-century four-panel door at the centre, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight. The interior has not been inspected, but the largely unaltered appearance of the exterior suggests it retains a fairly complete suite of joinery.
