Description
Annery Cottages is a row of three cottages, now functioning as a house, built in the early 19th century. The exterior features colourwashed render over cob and stone, topped with a gabled thatch roof. There is a rendered brick stack at the right end and a rendered lateral stack at the rear left. The building has a three-unit plan and is designed in a picturesque style, consisting of one storey and an attic with a three-window range.
A pointed arch frames an early 19th-century Gothick-style door, which has pointed-arched ribs to the left. Flat rendered arches are present over similar doors in the centre bay and a small outshut on the right. A later 19th-century verandah spans the front, supported by timber posts and featuring a thatch roof. The windows include flat rendered arches over late 19th-century two-light casements, with one window having glazing bars. The half-dormers contain early 19th-century pointed Gothick-style two-light casements. Additionally, there is a thatch outshut on the left gable wall. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
