The stone tablet at Bloody Corner, located approximately 700 yards east of St Margaret's Church, is likely from the late 19th century. It features a moulded stone frame and base, commemorating the battle between Alfred and King Hubba the Dane, who died in 892 AD. The tablet includes the Chappell crest, and the lettering is characteristic of the late 19th century.
