Description
Six granite columns are located in the garden about 15 meters southeast of Indio House. The two columns closest to the house date from the 16th or 17th century, while the other four are likely a bit later. The first two columns are approximately two meters high, featuring untapered shafts with moulded bases and capitals, each topped with a granite ball. Beyond these, there is a row of four taller columns with tapered shafts. The left-hand column retains its original moulded granite base, while the bases of the other three appear to be made from bricks and cement. Each of the four taller columns has a later mushroom-like granite cap, with the two left-hand caps also featuring granite balls on top. There is no indication that these columns originated from the pre-1850 house at Indio.
