Description

This building is a barn and stable, now used as a garage and stable, located approximately 10 meters north of The Old Rectory in Trusham. It likely dates from the 16th century and is constructed of painted stone rubble and cob, topped with a hipped wheat reed thatched roof. The barn has a long rectangular plan that is now divided into three spaces and is a single storey in height.

The east front features a wide doorway on the left, a door and window in the middle room, and another wide doorway on the right. The doors and window are from the 20th century. Inside, there is one surviving jointed cruck frame with a morticed, cambered collar and trenching for purlins, while other trusses are likely from the 18th century. This barn is part of a notable group of buildings.
