Description
The gate-piers at Oldstone Lodge date from the 18th century and mark the former entrance to the property. They are made of red sandstone ashlar and are square in shape, featuring moulded limestone bases and caps. The caps have been restored using concrete, and two of the piers have 20th-century lamps, while the other two have concrete hall finials. The gates themselves are also from the 20th century. The two inner piers are positioned on either side of the main drive, while the outer piers flank the pedestrian gates.
