Description

The gateway to Speedwell House, which is adjacent to number 6 (number 6 is not included), is a medieval structure dated 1365 according to a 20th-century date plaque. It features a red sandstone ashlar arch set within local stone rubble, serving as a carriage entrance. The large two-centred arch has a chamfered surround and was preserved and incorporated into a new building when Speedwell House was demolished in 1935.
