Description
Sunnycombe, including the forecourt wall, is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th century. It features a thatched roof with eaves that are eye-browed above three first-floor windows, which now have leaded metal casements. The entrance is sheltered by a thatched canopy supported by massive brackets. There is a projecting end chimney on the west side of the building. The small forecourt is raised above road level and is enclosed by a narrow coursed stone wall that is about 4 feet high. Sunnycombe is part of a group that includes Buckley Cottage, Cobbles, Nos 1 and 2, the cottage adjoining No 2, and The Nook.
