Description
The Nook, which includes the remains of a lime kiln to the west, is a building that likely dates from the 16th or 17th century. It is two storeys high, features a thatched roof, and has altered windows. Inside, there is a wide stone fireplace with a deep slate lintel, narrow vertical panelling on the first floor, a close string stair, and square balusters, including a balustrade on the first floor landing. The lower portion of the lime kiln is cylindrical and made of roughly coursed stone, while the upper part has been removed and is now used as a store. The Nook is part of a group that includes Buckley Cottage, Cobbles, Nos 1 and 2, the cottage adjoining No 2, and Sunnycombe.
