Description
This large barn, located approximately 50 metres east of Berry Manor House, dates from the 16th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a slate roof with a hipped end to the south. The north end is clad in corrugated asbestos and has a gable end. The west front has thin buttresses with set-offs. There are large central cart entrances on either side, with pigeon holes and a slated canopy over the west side. A ventilation slit is positioned above an arched opening in the north gable end. The south end wall contains a 19th-century gothic window. Inside, the barn retains its arch-braced collar roof trusses. A later lean-to has been added to the north end of the west side.
