Description

Webbers is a house dating from the late 17th century, which has been extended and modernised in the late 20th century. It features rendered rubble walls that may include some cob and has a hipped thatch roof. The original structure has a three-room plan with no passage, and an axial stack located between the rooms, heating the larger room on the right, while the two outer rooms remain unheated. At the right-hand end, there is a large late 20th-century addition that forms a wing at a slight angle.

The building is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has two windows. The original part features late 20th-century one and two-light casements without glazing bars. To the right of the centre, there is a contemporary glazed door beneath a thatch hood, with a small lean-to porch to the left. Inside, the main room contains reused ceiling beams with slots, and its fireplace has a chamfered wooden lintel and a stone oven. The roof space has not been inspected, but it may contain two fairly substantial pairs of straight principals that could be original.
