Description
This pair of hall headstones, dating from the late 18th century, is located about 12 metres south-southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in East Allington. Both headstones are made of slate. The northernmost headstone features a square top and has an inscription in upper and lower case lettering with serifs, commemorating Sarah Hall who died in 1774. The southernmost headstone has a shaped top and also bears an inscription in upper and lower case with serifs, in memory of Matthew Hall who died in 1791.
