Description
88 High Street is a late 18th-century building that has been refronted but retains elements of an older structure. It stands three storeys high and features one window. The roof is made of Welsh slate, and the front is timber-framed and slate-hung, with masonry party walls. There is an eaves cornice, and a segmental-bowed bay window that extends through the first and second floors, which contains three light, architraved sash windows with glazing bars. The building has an earlier 19th-century shop front that includes pilasters supporting an entablature with a projecting cornice, along with a segmental bowed shop window. The house and shop doorways are adorned with rectangular fanlights and raised and fielded panel doors.
